‘Seniors, including me, to blame for India debacle’

Wellington: Dejected after the embarrassing ODI series whitewash against India, New Zealand skipper Daniel Vettori on Monday said senior players, including himself, will have to take the blame for the debacle.

“It’s about players standing up and performing, Vettori told ‘ONE News’ on the team’s return to the country after a 0-5 drubbing in India.

“If we look at the reasons for the losses being because of selection or management structure we are absolving the players and myself included - so the players need to stand up,” said the talismanic leg-spinner, who has been leading the side since 2007.

Set to take a break to nurse a sore back, Vettori rejected suggestions that his multiple roles of being a captain, selector and key all-rounder were affecting the team’s power balance.
Vettori said his teammates are “comfortable” with his multiple roles but conceded that the fans might be running out of patience considering that his side has now lost 11 one-day international matches on the trot.

“Yeah, of course I don’t blame them. This team is hurting itself. It’s a miserable time for New Zealand cricket,” Vettori said.

“We did so well in the first couple of Test matches and then to let it all slip in the last Test and the one-day series, it hurts. And the only reason you play the game is to win and the only reason a lot of New Zealanders watch us play is to see us win.

“So we have to give that to them as soon as possible or otherwise it’s going to be really upsetting to a lot of people,” he added.

Kiwi coach Mark Greatbatch echoed Vettori’s views and said the team is “exceptionally disappointed and embarrassed.”

Justin Timberlake attempted a hole-in-one with Callaway Golf clubs to raise funds for the Shriners Hospitals for Children — and ET knows whether or not he made the $1 million shot!
Justin had three attempts to drop a hole-in-one on a 180-yard, par three hole at the Callaway Golf Center in Las Vegas, using the company’s new Diablo Forged Irons. He didn’t make the big shot, but his efforts generated a Callaway Golf donation of $5,000. Timberlake has been a Callaway Golf staff professional since 2008, and he has previously made a hole-in-one.
“It was 182 yards into the wind,” he tells ET’s Kevin Frazier, who is with him in Las Vegas. “I feel bad that everybody’s misinterpreting it. I got so excited by it, and then everybody else was like, ‘Really?!’ So I said, ‘It was a fluke.’”

Raima pleads director to tone down hot steamy scenes in Mirchi…

The upcoming film Mirch, is surely going to get many eyes popped out. Well, the director of the flick Vinay Shukla made it very clear in the start that its India’s first erotic film.
It is heard that, Raima Sen’s lovemaking scene with Arunodoy Singh is very elaborate and so the actress is requesting the director to tone it down.
Initially, during the shooting of the scene, the lovemaking clip was shot and brief. But Vinay felt that the scene lacked passion and so it was important to work on it again. So Raima was cajoled into doing the scene again. This time, the lovemaking scene was long and elaborate and it has been retained in the film’s final cut.
“What will my mother say?” was her first reaction when Raima saw how elaborate the lovemaking sequence was: she was reduced to tears. Her co-star Arunodoy however was fine with it
The film, with the help of four parallel stories, celebrates female sexuality through the eyes of women who are uninhibited when it comes to sex
Mirch also has Konkona Sen Sharma doing a few lovemaking scenes but they are not as hot as Raima’s.

Priyanka gets back at Bebo’s comments…

This week’s Koffee with Karan is going to be all spicy. Priyanka Chopra will be seen with Shahid Kapoor on the show. PC was a little rude and harsh while talking about her once good friend Kareena kapoor. She revealed on how people in the industry don’t take Kareena too seriously. Kareena was no less. She too had passed a taunt at Priyanka on the show earlier when she said: “I wonder where Priyanka got her accent from.” .
Not to be outdone, Priyanka said, “I want to tell Kareena that I got my accent from the same place where her boyfriend ( Saif Ali Khan) got his.” reminding the show host that she, too, had studied overseas and therefore had access to an accent just like so many others in Bollywood.
Well, I wonder why poor Saif is being dragged in this .
PC did not stop there. she went on to take a dig at Bebo. “I’m flattered that Kareena thinks I am a good actress,” . “But otherwise I don’t think people take Bebo too seriously,” is what PC reportedly said.
And she hit one final nail when she was asked what she would steal from computers of Bollywood superstars like Shah Rukh Khan, Shahid, Kareena and others. Known for her smart alec replies, PC giggled, “Does Kareena have a computer in the first place?”
Hmmm…Wonder what Bebo would have to say to that!

Karishma makes up her mind to divorce Sanjay….

A few days ago media had reported that Karisma Kapoor’s marriage with Delhi-based businessman Sunjay Kapur is in trouble, now, the latest we hear is the actress will be filing for divorce rather soon.
There has been irreconcilable differences between the couple from quite some time. Buzz is that Karishma who has been stagnated in Mumbai, hasn’t been visited by her hubby from the past few months.
A source says, “If she has not yet filed it yet, it would be any moment now.”
Adds the source, “The time has come for Karisma to emerge from a bad marriage. She is terribly distraught and very stressed. She has virtually become a loner.”. “To cheer her up, friends even dragged her to a fashion show held in October this year, hoping she’d let her hair down. But suddenly the media entered the party enclave.
Seeing this Karisma ran away from the party. She feared that someone or the other would ask her about her marriage and she wouldn’t be able to hide it,” says the source.
Cracks first appeared in their marriage way back in 2005 when Karisma was pregnant with her first child. But the couple ironed out their differences and got together again. Karisma gave birth to her second child in March this year. Within months, rumour mills were abuzz that Sunjay was seeing another woman in Delhi, an ex wife of a rich NRI hotelier.
